Beautiful skin dresses up a smile, and no one is more qualified than a trained dentist to assess and enhance your smile.
The use of cosmetic injectables is a perfect complement in complete facial aesthetic treatment. Dr Charlotte at Integrated Dental Health is trained and equipped to evaluate your smile to ensure your treatment harmonises your smile, restore youth and maintains natural beauty.
By targeting the jaw muscle (called the masseter), anti-wrinkle injections can also be used to create a slimmer jawline. If you suffer from Temporomandibular Joint Disorder and/or Bruxism, injectables are a great way to treat these conditions.
Dr Charlotte Kim is a dental practitioner and cosmetic injector who obtained her Bachelor Degree in Dentistry in Victoria.
She also holds a Diploma in cosmetic injectables and has trained under some of the most experienced cosmetic dentists in Australia.
Dr Charlotte is committed to providing safe, high-quality and natural looking cosmetic treatments to her clients.
Is it safe?
Absolutely! In fact, recent research suggests that cosmetic injections have minimal side effects in less than one percent of cases.
How do injectables work?
Anti-wrinkle injections work beneath the skin’s surface and target the underlying muscle activity responsible for the deeper lines and furrows. The muscle activity is temporarily reduced, which in turn reduces skin wrinkling. Your skin will look smoother and your face more refreshed.
What are the possible side effects?
While cosmetic facial injections rarely inflict hurt on anyone, a small number of individuals may feel a stinging sensation that dissipates quickly. In some extremely rare situations, you may experience bruising, skin colour changing, or the injected area getting a little lumpy.
Another rare, but not unheard of, side effect is that the toxin may spread and cause weakness or paralysis of other muscles. It’s important to remember that all medical procedures carry risks as well as benefits.
If you have any of these symptoms, please contact us immediately.
Who should not have injectables?
You should not proceed with injectables if you:
– know that you’re allergic to this type of treatment
– have an infection in the area that is being treated
– are pregnant or breastfeeding
– have neuromuscular conditions
What’s inside a cosmetic injectable?
Our facial injectables use Botulinum Toxin which act as a wrinkle relaxer, smoothing out lines for a period of three to four months.
How quickly do you see the results?
Although results may vary for different patients, the peak effect is reached after about 2 weeks and usually lasts for up to 3 to 4 months.
How long do facial injections last?
Facial injections are a temporary solution, giving your face a return to youth, but only for around three to six months.
