What is teledentistry and how can we help you?

The future is here. Innovative technology is now available where the dentist can do a virtual real-time consult, offer advice and prescribe antibiotics if necessary.

We can do this for you at Integrated Dental Health in the event of absolute quarantine and lockdown where staff cannot attend the surgery to deliver emergency treatment. If a patient is unwell or suspects Covid-19 and is unable to visit the surgery, teledentistry provides a solution.

We look into your mouth using a mobile phone camera to diagnose and offer advice. By no means is this comprehensive, but it is still useful for screening and for those unwell and who are unable to come into the practice or in the event of a lockdown.

How does it work?

We will send you a link that arrives as a SMS on your phone, and a calendar so you can make a 15 min booking ($65 standard consult or 30 min extended consult – $95). This fee is claimable with all health funds. (You can self-claim after we send you a receipt.)

We log in remotely to our patient database to access medical and dental history plus previous X-rays to assist diagnosis. Payment is done over the phone with credit card.
